Job Description

    Oversee and manage all on-site activities for construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.

    Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
    Supervise the work of tradespeople, ensuring quality standards are met and safety protocols are adhered to at all times.

    Monitor project progress, and address any issues or delays promptly to minimize disruptions.
    Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

    Conduct site inspections to ensure work meets quality, safety, and project specifications. Manage resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to optimize project efficiency.

    Maintain detailed and accurate project records, including site reports, progress updates, and safety documentation.

    Lead daily site meetings with the team and subcontractors to review project goals and work plans.
    Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members and subcontractors on-site.

    Act as the main point of contact for clients and ensure client satisfaction throughout the construction process. Resolve conflicts, provide solutions to on-site challenges, and ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role in residential and/or commercial construction.

  • Certificate IV in Building and Construction (or equivalent qualification); Diploma of Building and Construction is advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and local building codes.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors.

  • Solid understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and project management principles.

  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant technologies.

  • Current White Card (construction induction) is mandatory.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
