Job Description
- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and apprentices on-site to ensure the timely completion of projects.
Interpret and work from architectural plans and technical drawings.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
Ensure all work is completed to high standards and meets industry regulations. Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, roofing, and finishing work.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety regulations and company policies. Provide hands-on support to the team and ensure all tools and materials are available on-site.
Problem-solving and making on-site adjustments as needed to meet project requirements. Ensure accurate timekeeping and record management for the team.
Qualifications
Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification).
Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Sound knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret building plans, blueprints, and drawings.
Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Experience working on residential and/or commercial projects.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Current White Card (construction induction) is mandatory.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
